How does the selling process work?

Please check our buy list to see what we are buying.  Our buy list changes weekly depending on our needs.  If your item is not on our buy list we can still look at it for store credit.  We are also always willing to make exceptions for cash buys that are not on our list.  You can bring your items in any day that we are open, however, we do not work on buys the last hour that we are open so please take that into consideration.  Be prepared to show your ID.

Bring in your gently used items to the store.  We ask that items are in boxes or bins as garbage bags tend to rip. boxes or bins should be labeled with your name and phone number - either a sticker or written onto the box.  Please make sure items are clean, laundered, etc when you bring them in.  We will then look up your items to determine the current value.  As with all resale, we have to take into account the demand for items, the condition of items, and the number of items we have in our inventory.  We try to give the seller 50% of what we estimate we could sell the item for (clothing is less than 50% because we have to allow for sales and not every item will sell).  Please keep in mind that it is very costly to run a store and pay employees and that not all items will sell.  We want to be as fair to you as possible, we know you have emotional attachments to your children's items and that you paid good money for them.  We also want to resell items at reasonable prices to our customers.
You always have the option of not accepting our offer and selling your items yourself, but we hope that you will consider using us to sell your items for you and take the hassle, inconvenience, time spent, and fear/reservations about meeting strangers to sell your items out of the equation. 
We buy clothing, shoes, dance gear, select sports items, outdoor and indoor toys, furniture, baby gear (strollers, swings, carseats that are within 3 years of manufacture date, pack n plays, carriers, etc.), toys for kids of all ages, board games, books, DVD's, educational materials and teaching supplies, and children's therapeutic materials.

Because we are a store we do need to be pickier about what items we take and what items fit the quality we are trying to maintain at our store.  Clothing needs to be clean, odor free, stain free, brand names, no missing buttons, tears, zippers that don't work, fading or excessive wear, etc. Toys, baby gear, furniture, etc needs to be safe (no recalls issued, no cracks in plastic, etc), clean, complete (no missing parts), and free of odors and pet hair.  We will turn away items that do not meet our standards.
You can choose to wait at the store while we are going through everything, or run some errands and come back.  After going through all of your items we will make you an offer for the items.  We can offer you a little more for store credit versus cash.  Store credit will be given in the form of gift certificates to use at a later date, or put towards your purchase that day. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DROP OFF YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RETURN WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR PHONE CALL ALERTING YOU THAT YOUR OFFER IS READY.  After 5 days have past and you have still not returned the items are considered abandoned and will be donated to the store - we will have the option from there of keeping items, throwing items away, or donating items to a charity.  This is in the contract that you sign when you drop off items.
In the near future we will be adding a garage buy out option for people that have a large number of items that would be difficult to transport to the store.  With this option we would set up an appointment to come to your home and buy the items without you needing to make a trip to the store.  We will keep the sight updated to let you know when this option becomes available.

Selling is a great way of disposing your unused stuff, instead of throwing or burning it. Some people are just being creative in disposing stuff like clothes. They just cut it and make awesome designs, sometimes they make old clothes as curtains, chair covers and more. Donating to the homeless is also a good way. However, if you want to earn, selling is the idea for you. I acknowledge your idea of buying and selling of different kinds of old and unused stuff. I hope your business will grow.
